Cynthia J. Light

Cynthia J. Light, a longtime resident of Mahopac, NY passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022 in her new home state of Florida.  Cynthia was born in Chelsea, Vermont on December 14, 1940 to Clifford and Kathleen Sweet.

During her career, she worked at Readers Digest, Guideposts and Friends of Karen.  She loved her time working at and also volunteering with Friends of Karen.  Cynthia volunteered her time at her churches as well.  (Mt Hope UMC, New Fairfield UMC and others)

Cynthia always had a ready smile for everyone.  Her laugh was infectious. She was a great wife, mom and grandmother and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Light Jr.; her daughter, Terrie Prescott and son-in-law, Bill Prescott, her daughter-in law- Vicky Light and her grandchildren, Joshua Prescott and Soren Prescott and Megan Light and Bill Light IV.  She was predeceased by her son, Bill Light III.

Memorial Services for Cynthia will take place at Noon on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at the Chapel of Union Valley Cemetery in Mahopac.  Private cremation services were held earlier.
