It has taken a few days to gather thoughts. We first met in Kindergarten! You are exactly 14 days older than me and you never let me forget it! To this day you would also remind me how we spent more time in the Principals office over finger -painting than we actually did do painting on paper! We were on the school bus together every day---- We went through Brownies together and Girl Scouts. Spending time at Rock Hill Camp-- some awesome troublemakers we were all along the way!. Let's not forget Orchestra where you made first Violin Chair and I made First Viola. The trip to Spain in High School was unforgettable. Living in "MA-HO-PAC" has proven to be rewarding to where we both decided to raise our own families. Who knew you would marry into my family!. We have had numerous family celebrations and gatherings together. Your friendship, genuine care for others and devotion to family has always been unwavering. Rest now in Peace. See you on the other side of the moon where we can continue our adventures where we left off ….Heart felt condolences and Prayers to her family and all who knew Daun...

I am still shocked. Daun was the Financial Secretary when I first came to the First Presbyterian Church of Mahopac. She was always so friendly and sweet. Always helpful. Sorry, I cannot believe she is gone. My heart goes out to her whole family. Thank you for sharing her with us.

Daun, I will miss bumping into you around town. It was always a pleasure to see you in church at the early service, and reminiscing about high school and catching up on our current lives. Your family can console themselves with the knowledge that they have their own angel looking after them. Rest with the angels, my friend. Maria

Nicole Ferraro left a message on October 8, 2020:
Daun was such a beautiful and unique character. Every where she went, she made every moment fun. From dancing & singing to just engaging in conversation, she made everyone laugh. She was the best aunt I could have ever asked for. She sat with me and talked with me when I needed it, she made me laugh when I wanted to cry, and she helped raise me to become who I am today. There will never be anyone on earth like Daunie, but I will treasure every moment I’ve shared with her. I am blessed to call her family. I love you Daunie.

There will always be a special place in my heart for Daun. We had may laughs along the way mixed with a few tears. Her children were her pride and joy and she would always talk about them when we spoke. She loved them with all her heart and soul.
