B NOVINS left a message on January 8, 2014:
I met Efrain in 2002 when I was going through what I thought was the most horrible time in my life. Efrain made me feel and see that all will be ok. I knew when I first met him that god has a special place in heaven set aside for him. I watched him help so many people and ask for nothing in return. He worked so tirelessly to make sure all of the members felt and knew that everything would be ok. I will miss him terribly. He was a true gentleman to everyone. He fought an endless fight to be a part of his children's lives, for that I owe him and great deal of respect and I will never forget him. I truly looked up at him.Efrain, I hope you are at peace. I know god put aside a special place for you. You helped me and so many others when we needed the most, for that I will never forget you. Rest in peace my good friend. Until we meet again B. Novins S.I.N.Y.

Having known Efrain has enriched both our lives. We met at Yonkers Ambulance over 30 years ago. Time passed and for several years we lost touch. A few years ago we once again reconnected and, I thank god for that. Old friend, I pray that you are a peace and that you are with friends and loved ones. I am sure that you will be watching over your children as well as your many friends both old and new. We will miss you.
