Enid Parker

Enid A. Parker departed this life Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel, NY. Enid was born on March 16, 1928 to Orie J. Underwood and Sarah Fortune Underwood in Youngstown, Ohio. She graduated from Youngstown South High School in 1946 and attended The Chicago Institute of Fashion and Design in Chicago, IL She was formerly employed at Marlane’s Bridal shop, Livingston, and Aamco in Youngstown. She also worked at General Motors in Lordstown, Ohio. Was a member of Third Baptist Church, the String of Pearls chapter of the Red Hat Society, the Silver Sneaker swimming program, and various bridge clubs in Youngstown. She leaves to mourn her beloved daughter, Iris (Theo) Fletcher of Mahopac, NY; a son Keith Parker of Mesa, AZ; sister-in-laws Pearl Underwood and Audrey Womack of Youngstown, OH; two granddaughters Elidi and Nephatiema of New York and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband George, her parents and her brother Orie E. Underwood. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. A Memorial Service will be held at Third Baptist Church on Park Hill Dr., Friday, August 19, 2011 at 2pm. In memory of Enid you can make a donation in her memory to a charity of your choice.
