Jeanne A. Gesselli

Jeanne Gesselli, a native New Yorker, passed away on May 9, 2022 at the age of 91.  She was born on November 6, 1930, daughter to Dominic and Josephine Mare.  On May 13, 1951 she married Eugene Gesselli and from that day forward they were known as “Gene & Jeanne”.

Jeanne worked for Con Edison for 7 years, then left to start her own family.  They lived in the Bronx and Yonkers, and eventually settled in Mahopac where they finished raising their 5 children.  Jeanne loved cooking and gardening.  She learned her amazing cooking talent from her mother, grandmother, and mother in law.

Above all else, she was an amazing mother.  She dedicated her life to her family and children.  She was strong, loyal and a protective mother who created a safe, warm, and loving home.

Jeanne is survived by her children Robert Gesselli, Denise Gesselli-Yap(Tom), and Anthony Gesselli; and grandchildren Peter Mulholland, Jr., Patrick Mulholland, Daniel Yap, and Allanah Yap.  She was predeceased by her husband Eugene and her daughters Carolyn Mulholland and Theresa Gordineer.

All are welcome to attend a visitation on Thursday, May 12^th from 4-6 PM at the Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home in Mahopac, NY.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 13^th at 10 AM, also at the funeral home.  Entombment will follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Putnam Valley.
