What a blessing she has been to so many , bringing the presence of Christ to so many people for so many decades. She has served Christ and her brothers and sisters in Christ so well. May she be filled with the glory of the resurrection now as she lives her "fifth day". Fr. Bill

Steve, I was very saddened to hear about the loss of your Mom. I know how much family means to you . It's horrible to watch someone decline over several years. I know you were by her side and hope that you can find peace. God Bless my Friend

The Letts are a wonderful family. Joan's friendship continued after we moved away. In Mahopac I was involved with her in many things especially starting FISH. Once a woman in the Central USA area got my name from some Christian list. She called about her young son. He had joined a group of migrant workers and was working in Putnam County. One night there was a knife fight and the Police came. He left and called his Mother from a local drug store and she called me , looking for help. I couldn't leave my new baby so I called Joan. She and Al located the boy in the drug store, brought him to their home, got him a job. When he earned bus fare he went home to the Midwest and his relieved mother. That was in the early 1970's. This is only one of the good things Joan did in her long and holy life.
