Joe was my wrestling partner in high school he and I shed blood sweat and tears but honestly mostly laughter I will never forget BU wrestling camp the instructors would come up in the morning drill instructor style trying to scare us so the next morning Joe and I dumped soda all over the floor and watched each of the instructors drop one by one on their asses as they came screaming out of the elevator we were always watching out for one another that was just one of the many stand by me moments that we shared together. This morning my 2 and a half year old son was pointing to the ceiling saying that's a nice big man and I said what man he said that man Joey.

I’m truly broken. Joey was an amazing father and Anthony’s best friend. Lisa and Joey were the best of friends and amazing co-parents together. I would like to share that my boys miss their Uncle Joey, they will miss going to the deli and hanging out with him, and playing with him because he will always be the biggest kid I ever met. Joey always lives his life to the fullest and I envy him for that. He is also the more selfless human I have every met and he will deeply be missed. My husband, Reggie and Joey would text every couple of weeks throughout the years and had a brotherly bond I love. Joey, I have never seen one Star Wars movie but I vow that I will watch them all and think of you everytime. To Gina, Dena, and Anthony I truly sorry for your loss and we will always make sure his spirit burns bright. You raised an amazing man and should always be proud. If you need anything please reach out and we love you. Love the Maultsby’s.

I’m truly broken, Joey wasn’t just amazing friend, but an incredible father and best friend to his son Anthony. My family is truly devastated and my boys miss their Uncle Joey. They will always remember going to the deli and seeing him and I will always remember how funny, caring, loving and selfless human he was. He was a big teddy bear underneath his hardcore exterior and he will be deeply missed. To Gina, Dena, and Anthony.. your son and brother was an amazing man! He lived to the fullest and always walked to the beat of his own drum. My husband Reggie would text his every couple of weeks to catch up and they always had a brotherly bond that I adored. He will always be my brother and we will make sure his spirit will never burn out! We love you all and if you need anything please reach out!
