Katherine M. Ruffino

Sadly, on Thursday, March 9, 2023, Katherine M. Ruffino of Mahopac, NY passed away at 80 years old.  

Kathy was born on December 28, 1942, in Bronx, NY to John and Rose (Mackey) Gannon.  On November 22, 1962, she married her beloved husband, John Ruffino, in Yonkers, NY and they were blessed with three children.  

Kathy was a homemaker and her family was the most important thing to her.  She was incredibly proud of her three children and found joy in their choice of spouses and loved them dearly. She loved her grandchildren and spoiled them anytime she could.  She cared and loved the many animals over the years that graced her life.  Kathy loved to spend her time planting and taking care of her many gardens and flowers.    

Together for over 60 years, Kathy is survived by her husband John; her son John and his wife Diane, son Christopher and his wife Wanda, daughter Debra Quas and her husband David, sibling Sr. Margaret Gannon, grandchildren Brian, Jessica, Michael, Tyler, Jenna, Cameron, Grace, and Andrew; and great granddaughter Quinn.  She was predeceased by her siblings Joan, John, and Rosemary.

In keeping with Kathy’s wishes, no services will be planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, you may also make a memorial contribution to the charity of your choice.
