Tony Conway left a message on August 19, 2011:
Kate was one of the sweetest and nicest people I've ever known. She had a twinkle in her eye and smile that were second to none. I first met Kate and Joe on a golf course in Virginia--the fourth in our group was Kate's nephew Jim Cregan. It was August and the temperature was over 100 degrees. Joe, Jim and I struggled around the course while Kate put on the best display of putting I've ever seen. She was dropping puts from 30 feet regularly while the three of looked on in amazement. Her secret was simple: putt it at the hole.Since that first meeting Kate put on many putting clinics when we played. And every time she would smile and laugh as only Kate could. I will remember that twinkle and smile forever. Kate was a wonderful human being.
