Kathleen (Kathy) McGowan, born December 21, 1946 to Carl & Ann Jones (Pomart) in Peekskill, NY passed away on January 19, 2013. Kathy attended the Peekskill Assumption School, Peekskill High School & Catherine Gibbs Secretarial School in NYC. Kathy married Tom in Peekskill, NY at Holy Spirit Church on October 9, 1993. She worked for Readers Digest, Putnam Valley Elementary School and Chappaqua Westorchard Elementary School. Kathy enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, kayaking, hiking and antiquing. Her greatest joys were spending time with her family and traveling with her husband. Kathy is survived by husband Thomas McGowan, New Milford, CT; sons Chuck Pierce (Pam), FL , Brian Pierce, Fishkill, NY and stepson Thomas McGowan, Mohegan Lake, NY; grandsons Zachary Pierce and Chad Pierce; mother Ann Jones; sisters Carol (Blair) Hartley, Garrison, NY, and Patricia (Bill) Harbolic, Wappingers Falls, NY. Also surviving her are aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and many dear friends.She was predeceased by her father, Carl, and many aunts and uncles. Donations may be made in her memory to Ann's Place, Danbury, CT, www.annsplace.org.

Mom, thank you for being such a great mother -in-law and friend, our times together were always filled with such love,respect and laughter. You words of wisdom over the years has been held deep in my heart . but the best question to me that i will never ever for get is "really all these years i thought you were on drugs-.... your just really a dipsie blond !!!!!" I think we both should have had a bottle of wine on that one. You are always in my heart and sole thank you for birthing my husband and passing your gene on to our son. I love you Mom rest in peace your work here on earth is done but your sole to heaven has bigger and better plans. You will always be one of our brightest stars in the sky. Love always Pam
