Joyce -- Just to let you know that my family is thinking about you. In so many ways, you and Pete had a huge influence on my son John and his love for ice hockey. We have only the fondest memories of Pete, and his absolutely tireless efforts in coaching the Hudson Valley Empire State hockey team to success. And of course, John also benefitted greatly from playing for you at Hickory Hill! Now 37, John still continues to love playing hockey, which I fully attribute to the life-long impact that you and Pete had on him. In fact, John had his 3-year-old daughter out learning to skate this past winter. I knew that Pete was a decorated detective in Yonkers, but I had no idea about his key role in the Son of Sam case. Thank you for making the world aware of his work on that terrible case. Pete was clearly too modest to even mention it, but I'm sure glad you did, and set the record straight. God bless Pete and you and the entire Intervallo family. Rick

My most sincere condolences to Frank, his brothers John and Dennis, his wife, Joy, and all the children (Peter, Amorette, and Anthony) and to Pete's entire extended family. I knew and worked with Pete as Detectives for many years, and played on the police softball team with him. He was always such a kind, humble, funny, and sincere! I had the pleasure of meeting his mom on numerous occasions at his home in southwest Yonkers. I visited with Pete to his home in Mahopac and found out why he was deeply in love with his wife, Joy! She was always an absolute pleasure, and quite a hockey player, as well. What I always remember about Pete was his long phone conversations with Joy. He was always smiling when talking to her, and was seemingly incredibly happy to hear whatever she was saying. It was remarkable to me how much Pete was in love with Joy, and how much he loved speaking with her. A true lesson in life to us all! Rest in heaven with the angels, my brother. You will be missed but never forgotten!
