David and Maureen Salvestrini left a message on September 30, 2021:
A visit to Ida usually included a trip “up the hill” to see Aunt Rita, where we were always so warmly welcomed. She was so glad to share the news about all of you in that gentle way of hers. David remembers Aunt Rita always being there for him. Driving him to the dentist and a car full of cousins going to the movies on Saturday or even the Sunday rides after dinner at Grandma and Grandpa’s. David and Aunt Rita shared a love of fruitcake ( and she did like his biscotti!). We feel truly blessed to have known such a lovely woman, she will be missed and we cherish our memories of her. Our love to you all at this difficult time, David and Maureen
