My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Cappelletti family on the passing of my dear friend Vito. Vito and I grew up together and lived only two houses away from each other. I have many fond memories of the years we spent together hanging out in the neighborhood as kids. I was fortunate to reconnect with Vito again about a year ago and have enjoyed reminicing with him about the past. I will forever remember his positive outlook and his ability to maintain his great sense of humor during the fight of his life. I will miss him dearly. Rest in peace. Love ya.

Dearest Theresa; How this pains me. I have tried to get Vito's address since July. We lost Christy on Wed, July 15. That very day her computer went down, so had to wait until friend could download it and fix. After the funeral her husband went to his family for almost 6 weeks, so could not get it until his return. Upon return Doug just couldn't go into her computer. I have wanted to contact you for all this time wanting to hear from u. Christy heard from Vito. She & Vito shared emails, but I never could get her to get on the computer at the time she felt good to get the address. The tears never stop and the memories of our time in China are so precious, along with pictures. So many pics of Vito, Zarko, & Christy. They were so in tune with one another. And how sweet the time we had while you were there. My phone is 601.214.5840. We need to talk. Please send your phone number. My sincere love, and God's mercy, grace and comfort to you and all family.

Vito, Christine and their sons have been a big part of my life for the past 15 years. I am so grateful to have gotten to know such a wonderful Man. He was strong, smart, loyal, witty, a great father, and a great friend. Through the years that I have gotten to know Vito, I was always impressed how he got through difficult times with his robust smile and laughter. He has passed on so many of these wonderful traits to his 5 amazing sons that I consider "my boys'. He will live forever in my heart.... RIP Big V.

When Vito was a baby I used to baby sit him. Sometimes I would take him out for a walk in his carriage. The reason it is so memorable was because he was always jumping around and the carriage would tip over, but that is still way its so memorable. The reason is his mom had to put a big rock in the back of the carriage so he could'nt tip it over.My second memory that wil always stay with me is that Vito and I have started many a family parties by getting up and dancing first. He will always be in my heart, now and always.

It has been a long time since we spoke.. Vito you were always the "big" guy from our class. You and Angelo, always together as I can recall. You were always funny and always tried to make everyone laugh. You had great parties, the graduation party on your block I remember. Donna McDonald,\ and Paul were there, Mickey O'Connor and Vicki Diehl, they were all there, to celebrate with you. As I understand, You put up a good fight... My friend you will be remembered always as the guy who can!!!! Love You, and prayers for your family.

Vito was one of those special people who lit up a room simply by entering it. He brought sunshine, happiness, love, joy and laughter just by crossing the threshold. These were qualities that endeared him to everyone. I would like to share a special memory that has remained with me for years. As a young boy, Vito came with my son, David, and me to buy a Christmas tree and as we admired the decorations, Vito found a beautiful religious article which he chose to buy. Holding it tenderly in his hands, he said that it was so special that he wanted to have it blessed before he hung it up. A simple request, but what made it memorable was his profound feeling and reverence for his faith which came through at his young age. As an adult, he went on to show us how life should be lived, and he truly lived a life of exampleFor all of us who question why he was chosen to cross another threshold now, because we feel it was unfair for him to leave us, may we always remember his strength, humor, love and joy of life--a legacy he leaves with us all. Love, Aunt Aurora

He was a Man who's presence always commanded attention, his words were that of wisdom, and his jokes always hit there mark, it was truely an Honor to have known him and to have been part of his family. He will surely be missed, but will never be forgotten. My heart and prayers to his family.

Vito was special to me in a way that is hard to explain. But for 3 years my life revolved around him and his family! From quiet nights at home to family vacations at the Friar Tuck to the phone conversations in the years after I left. These will always be treasured memories to me. Thanks for showing me how important a sense of humor is, Vito! Boys, always remember what a wonderful man you had as a father and follow his lead.
