Oppy aka Poppy aka Bill aka Superman was a lot of thing to a lot of people, But to me, his grandson, he was the man I looked up to most. To me, Oppy exhibited all the attributes great men have. He was strong, honest and dedicated to those he loved. I'll miss his smile and conversation, but I will never miss his lessons as those are forever ingrained in me. I learned much from him just by watching him. He was always handling the things life threw at him with dignity and honesty. I'll be forever grateful that God made me his grandson. I love ya Op!

Dear Billy, Kathy and Laura, Uncle Bill was my godfather and was always a good listener. As he got older, and we did, he shared about his service in Korea. He was so humble and matter-of-fact about it. I remember one of the parties when we were all dancing with him and he was having such a good time. We will all miss him. Kathy and Laura, your strong shoulders are an inspiration and your love for your Dad shone always. With deepest sympathy, Beth and Jim
